Notifications
Choose where Klaudius sends its alerts, set up a Telegram bot in a few minutes, and see what triggers an alert.
Klaudius works unattended, so it needs a way to reach you when a reply lands or something needs you. You choose where alerts go at setup, and can change it any time.
Where alerts can go
Setup asks How should Klaudius alert you?
- Telegram — instant and free (recommended): messages from a Telegram bot of your own, on your phone or computer.
- Email — to your own inbox: sent through your outreach mailbox, to your own address or another you name. Offered when email is one of your outreach channels.
- Don't alert me.
Depending on your outreach channels, the list may offer another option too. Pick Telegram if you want visit alerts on your phone: they reach you even while your computer is off.
To change it later, open Settings → Change setup → Notifications and press Change…, or ask Klaudius.
Setting up Telegram
Choose Telegram — instant and free and the app walks you through it, step by step:
- In Telegram, send
/newbotto @BotFather, and give the bot a name and a username ending in bot. - Paste the token BotFather replies with into Bot token and press Check token.
- Send your new bot any message ("hi" is fine; if it shows a Start button, tap that first, then send "hi"), then press Find my chat ID.
Use a bot of its own for Klaudius: a bot token another app is already using can stop Klaudius finding your chat ID.
What sends an alert
- Outreach going out. A short note each time a pitch is sent, with the business, its location and its site.
- Follow-ups ready. When a follow-up run has follow-ups to review or replies waiting, it says how many.
- Something needing a human eye. A failed deploy, a service that stopped answering, content that looks wrong, a business no channel could reach, or a step that couldn't finish. Each alert names the business and says what happened in one line.
- A business opening its site. With Telegram, visit alerts come to your bot. Otherwise they show in Pipeline, and as a notification on your computer while the app is open.
- A printed letter answered. When a business leaves its details on the claim page a letter pointed it to.
- Money. Found when a follow-up run checks your payments: a monthly fee that failed to charge, money paid on a cancelled invoice or paid twice, or a client's VAT number the tax authority doesn't recognise.
- The AI receptionist's minutes. When Klaudius checks your receptionist calls and the month's minutes are past the limit you set in Settings → AI receptionist → Warn me after. It's a warning only: calls carry on, billed to your voice platform account.
Notifications on your computer
The app also shows its own notifications while it's open and you're not looking at it: when a run finishes, hits a problem or needs your approval, when a business replies, and when your usage window is spent. On a Mac or Windows, switch on Announce runs out loud in Settings and Klaudius also says when a run finishes or needs your approval, in your computer's built-in voice.
Ask Klaudius
- Send my alerts to my email instead of Telegram
- Send me a test alert
