Running Klaudius
Control Klaudius from your phone
Pair the Klaudius phone app to approve follow-ups, answer Klaudius, and start or stop runs while you're away from your computer.
The Klaudius phone app keeps Klaudius moving while you're away from your computer. Klaudius still does the work on your computer; your phone is the remote.
What you can do from your phone
- Approve follow-ups: read each drafted follow-up, change the wording if you like, then send or skip it. Klaudius sends the ones you approve from your computer.
- Answer Klaudius: allow or deny what it asks, approve a plan or ask for changes, and answer its questions.
- See who replied: businesses that wrote back are under Replies. Draft a reply has Klaudius write one and show it to you in Chat; nothing is sent until you say so.
- Start and stop runs: under Runs, Start offers the same runs as the Runs page on your computer, with the same choices: how many at once for Run Klaudius, and if you like a kind of business and a place. Or tell Klaudius what to do in Chat. Stop a run if you need to; work already done is kept.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, your phone tells you when Klaudius needs your answer while you're away from your computer, when the day's follow-ups are ready, when a business replies, when Klaudius answers you in Chat, and when a run you started from your phone finishes. Each one shows what was said, such as the start of Klaudius's answer or what it's asking you.
Pairing your phone
- Install Klaudius on your phone from the App Store.
- On your computer, open the Klaudius app, go to Settings → Klaudius on your phone and click Connect your phone.
- On your phone, open Klaudius, tap Scan the code and point the camera at the code on your computer. The code works for 10 minutes; if it runs out, click Show a new code.
Each computer pairs with one phone at a time. Pair only a phone you keep to yourself: anyone holding it can answer Klaudius and start work on your computer. The phone app pairs with the Klaudius app, so if you run Klaudius from a folder in your own AI agent, download the app and open the folder you already have.
When your computer is asleep or restarts
Your phone works while Klaudius is open on your computer and the computer is awake. When it isn't, your phone shows your computer as asleep, with when it was last seen, and nothing runs. Anything you send waits up to 10 minutes for your computer to pick it up; after that nothing is done, and your phone tells you so you can send it again.
Two settings keep your computer within reach:
- Open Klaudius when I log in, in Settings, brings Klaudius back after a restart, once you've logged in. The Klaudius on your phone card offers to turn it on. On Windows, Settings → Accounts → Sign-in options can also sign you back in after an update.
- Keep this computer awake while your phone is paired, on the same card. It uses more power on a laptop, and a closed lid still puts the computer to sleep.
Unpairing
On your phone, go to Settings → Unpair this phone. On your computer, go to Settings → Klaudius on your phone → Unpair. Either one ends the pairing on both. If you lose your phone, or delete the app without unpairing, unpair it from your computer.
Privacy
Everything between your phone and your computer is end-to-end encrypted, notifications included: only your phone and your computer can read it. What we can and can't see.
