What you need

The computer, AI subscription and accounts Klaudius needs, how long setup takes, and which countries and languages it works in.

Klaudius is a desktop app that runs on your own computer, on your own AI subscription and your own accounts. Here's what you need, so setup goes in one sitting.

A computer

A Mac (Apple silicon or Intel) on macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer, a 64-bit PC on Windows 10 or later, or a Linux computer with a 64-bit Intel or AMD processor (Ubuntu, Debian, or a Chromebook with Linux turned on), with around 1.5 GB of free disk space. Setup installs whatever else your computer is missing. On Linux, we recommend 8 GB of memory: with 4 GB or less, Klaudius works on one business at a time. Jarvis, the voice mode, isn't available on Linux.

An AI subscription

Klaudius works through an AI assistant signed in to your own subscription:

  • Claude, through Claude Code (recommended). Claude Pro, Max (5x or 20x), and Team Standard or Premium seats all work. Setup walks you through Claude Code's one-time install and sign-in.
  • ChatGPT, through Codex. ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Business Standard or Premium seats all work. Codex comes with the app.

For real volume, Claude Max or ChatGPT Pro is recommended: the extra usage lets you build many more websites on the most capable models. On Claude Pro, ChatGPT Plus and the Standard seats, setup switches off the separate quality check so each usage window goes further. See Plans and usage.

Accounts you'll connect

Setup walks you through each one and checks it as you go. They're your accounts, so everything Klaudius builds and records stays yours.

  • Your licence key, from the email you get when you subscribe.
  • A database for your pipeline, on the provider's free tier.
  • A hosting account for the websites: Vercel (recommended), Cloudflare Pages, Netlify, or your own server. See Hosting.
  • Your outreach channels, the ways you'll contact businesses and hear back, such as an email mailbox you already use. You can add or change channels later.
  • A key for finding businesses, which setup walks you through creating.

Setup also asks your name, the country you'll work in, the language for your sites and messages, which kinds of business to target, and your prices.

Optional, now or later: a printed letters provider, Telegram for alerts, your own Stripe account for card payments, GoHighLevel, and a pay-as-you-go voice platform account for the AI receptionist.

How long setup takes

About 15 to 20 minutes, and you can save your progress at any point. When it's done, the app opens on your dashboard, ready for your first website.

Does it need to run all the time?

No. Klaudius works while the app is open and your computer is awake, so you run it as and when you want. Close your laptop or quit the app whenever you like, and start a run again when you're back. While a run is going, Klaudius keeps the computer from going to sleep on its own, except on a Chromebook, where ChromeOS's power settings decide.

Your websites stay online the whole time, because they live on your hosting account, not your computer. Daily follow-ups you've scheduled catch up the next time you open the app, up to 8pm.

Countries and languages

Klaudius works in any populated country. You choose the country you'll find businesses in and the language your websites and messages are written in, and Klaudius writes natively in it, with local phrasing, currency and phone formats. You can add countries later in Settings → Pipeline settings → Extra countries, and ask Klaudius to quote a different price in each.

Computers per subscription

One subscription is for one person or one business, on up to two computers at a time. See Your licence and computers.
