Move a site into GoHighLevel

Move a finished client site into the client's sub-account in GoHighLevel, as an AI Studio project, with every enquiry from it arriving there as a contact.

If you manage a client in GoHighLevel, or they run their business from it, their website can live there too. Klaudius can move a site it built into the client's sub-account as an AI Studio project: the same design and content, published from AI Studio, with every enquiry from its forms arriving in that sub-account as a contact.

The client's sub-account can be in your agency's GoHighLevel or in an account of their own. It's separate from your own GoHighLevel connection, which puts the leads Klaudius finds in your sub-account.

Client add-ons on the Runs page, with Move to GoHighLevel picked for a client

Pick Move to GoHighLevel under Client add-ons on the Runs page, choose the client and press Start. Klaudius asks for a few things in one message:

  1. A new AI Studio project in the client's sub-account, named after the business and started with the one-line prompt Klaudius gives you. It costs a few cents.
  2. The project's GitHub repository. In the project, open More → Git → GitHub → My GitHub account and approve GitHub's prompts, and AI Studio creates a private repository for it in the GitHub account you connect.
  3. The project's address, copied from your browser's address bar.
  4. The tracking code from Settings → External Tracking → Installation.
  5. The client's domain, if the site is going live on it. Without one, the moved site stays hidden from search engines until you ask Klaudius to set it up for the domain.

If this computer can't reach the repository yet, Klaudius asks for a GitHub token limited to that one repository, and tells you where to make it.

Klaudius then rebuilds the site in AI Studio's format, page by page, and compares the result with the original before sending anything. Every enquiry form is wired so each enquiry becomes a contact in the client's sub-account, and the form's own email still goes out. The visitor's message shows in the contact's Form Submitted activity rather than as a contact field. A site with no form can get a small one first, if you want its enquiries in GoHighLevel too. The result shows in the project's chat in AI Studio: press Update preview on it, check the preview, press Publish, and connect the client's domain in AI Studio. Every later change, by Klaudius or in AI Studio, goes live only when you publish it again with Update.

The copy on your hosting stays as it is, and Klaudius won't deploy it again unless you ask. Once the domain points at AI Studio, take that copy down, so the same site isn't live twice.

Before you pitch it

After the move, the site lives in AI Studio. Changes are made there, by you or by AI Studio's AI, and Klaudius's edits and add-ons no longer reach it. AI Studio's AI can reorganise a site's code when asked for a small change, so check the preview before publishing each one.

Some sites can't move. The editor, the booking system and the live Google rating run on your Vercel account, so Klaudius won't move a site that has them.

Costs. Publishing from AI Studio is free. AI Studio's AI is paid usage in GoHighLevel, and a sub-account holds a limited number of AI Studio projects.

Workflows. A GoHighLevel workflow can start on the site's enquiries: the trigger External tracking event, Event Form Submitted, with the form as its filter. A form shows in that list once it has been sent, so Klaudius offers to send a test enquiry before the site goes live.
